This is a very simple caricature of myself I’ve been using for my YouTube content or just as a character in random animations of late. Including as a “VTuber” or “ToonTuber” avatar during livestreams. I’ve been trying to do a lot of grease pencil + mesh works lately, and the face here might be my favorite yet. I didn’t know where exactly I got the pure white eyes from when I was making it but I knew I had seen them before, I just thought they’d kind of fit the vibe. Of course I realize now I was subconsciously taking from Gorillaz, while incorporating some noise to the grease pencil for a squiggle-vision Home Movies type effect. I made myself look like how I look when I’m getting sucked into something I enjoy. Which is that I inevitably end up a bit disheveled and sleep deprived.

Unfortunately besides the face, I don’t get to flex a lot of character design skills when creating a recreation of myself. Especially in the clothing department, just a T-shirt and jeans. That’s what I wear in real life! I have some fancier work clothes and stuff but generally I’ve never been huge on my own personal fashion despite the fact I adore the function it has in art. So maybe I’ll up my style for my fictional counterpart in the future. But currently I’m working on potentially creating a rig for VRChat and giving the livestream version more expressions.
