My first published level. With a whopping 2.5 stars on Quaddicted, I’m still pretty proud of it. A project I chipped away at over the course of the winter of 2023. It kinda just happened. Mostly I was trying to add Half-Life style set pieces into a game that came before those and I had to come up with a lot of hacky workarounds to pull it off.
I’m convinced Trenchbroom is maybe one of the most intuitive and impressive 3D game development tools out there right now, especially with it’s recent fan plugin that adds integration into Godot. I got into it before I got into Blender. Took about half an hour to learn and I was off to the races. The more I think about it, the more this project was kind of the kicking off point for a lot of my recent creative growth. Learning Blender, QuakeC, regular C, etc. Hopefully I’ll be able to show off some of the latter soon.
